The sweet trail
This is one of the hardest, but also the sweetest routes from our selection.
Route description
The route connects local craftsmen and beekeepers, magnificent culture and architectural objects, as well as beautiful natural locations, where you can catch a break and get acquainted with the local plant and animal world of the Goričko landscape park. Try the traditional gingerbread in Ratkovci, try different sweet delicacies at chocolate shops and taverns, try out the local cuisine, take a look at the bee collection in Ivanjševci, stream mill in Berkovci, rest in Ratkovci or by the pond in Lončarovci, take a sneak peek at the Kančevci Home of spirituality, Calvin Church in Motvarjevci or catch a break on the short Butterfly trail, visit the Jože Plečnik church in Bogojina and find other interesting sights to see along the way.
This route is rugged and a bit tiring and follows mostly local roads, some of them are cycling paths. The route is marked along the way.
