»The Mura« cycling route –right riverbank

Route description

The right riverbank of the Mura River represents the Styria and Prlekija region. This cycling route will take you all the way from the northern Austrian border towards the southern Croatian border. If you start to feel you already understand the local dialect, you’re going to have to start over in this region. Throughout history, the Mura River played a significant role in being a dividing line, which can be obvious when observing the local dialects. This is the area, where impact of different languages is clearly visible, which has contributed to the richness and uniqueness of the Prekmurje dialect.

The tour takes place along this route: Trate - Zgornje Konjišče - Črnci - Apače - Segovci - Lutverci - Podgrad - Gornja Radgona - Mele - Šratovci - Radenci - Turjanci - Hrastje Mota - Vučja vas - Stara Nova vas - Veržej - Banovci - Krapje - Cven - Mota - Razkrižje - Šafarsko - Gibina.
