The Grossman route

Route description

The starting point is at the Ljutomer Main Square, but you can join us anywhere along the route. This is followed by the drive through the fields by the Sčavnica River in the direction of Cezanjevci and Branoslavci straight pass the chapel in the direction of Gajševci lake, where you can enjoy looking at different varieties of birds and a breeze that comes from the lake. We stay on the main road all the way to the crossroads, where we then turn left in the direction of Logarovci. After about 800 metres, we turn left and drive pass the Cornus Garden centre and the Stajnko Mill. We cross the Ščavnica River, go up a smaller hill and turn right in the direction of Precetinci. Along the way, we can admire the neatly organised farmyards. At the first crossroads we stick to the right side and then turn left twice, while continuing the ride all the way to the main road, where we turn right towards Kuršinci. In the next crossroads, we turn left, cross the bridge and ascend towards Mala Nedelja. Along the way, we can make a short stop at one of the local bars, vineyards or wine cellars. We continue in the direction of Drakovci and continue pass the “Green window” that is located in Moravci in Slovenske gorice. When we arrive to the four-pointed intersection, we make a sharp left turn in the valley and drive pass the Mala Nedelja Biotherms, where we can rest for a moment or jump in one of their pools. The road continues on the main road all the way to Vogričevci, where we turn right. The road here is party asphalted and partly covered with gravel. In Vidanovci, we make a sharp left turn and continue along the asphalted road to Stara cesta, where we drive by the Tompa rural tourism. We can make a short break there and then continue towards Mekotnjak, where we cross the train track and connect to the main road, where we then turn left. After about 300 metres, we turn left, go up a smaller hill and then turn right. We continue towards Spodnji Kamenščak that takes us to our finish – the Ljutomer Main Square.

The route is perfect for a full day trip and suitable for a medium level cyclist. The road is suited for all bicycles.
