The field route

Route description

The route starts at the Ljutomer Main Square, from where we drive on the one-way road pass the local shop and turn right out of the first roundabout. When we get to the next roundabout, you can see the 1st Slovenian Camp Park on the left (you can drive to it and then return to the route) and we then turn right once again. At the net turn, we turn left and go pass the Ljutomer fire station and cross the railway track. Right after that, we continue our route on the gravel road. We cross the Ščavnica River, turn right and cross it once again after about 500 metres. The road leads us towards Babji ložič (23 hectares of once large area of oak-hornbeam forest in the Ščavnica River valley, which has a natural value of national importance). After about 350 metres of cycling outside of forest area, we turn left on the gravel road and continue towards Cven, where we turn right. We can enjoy looking at the neatly organised farmyards and gardens by the houses. We continue our way to the “At the end of the village” tourist farm and stay on the main road until the last crossroads., where we turn left. We stay on the main road and rest our eyes on the beautiful fields and meadows. Along the way, we can stop at the Krapje Bee museum or refresh ourselves in the Banovci Spa. We stick to the left until we cross the railway track in Grlava. For about a kilometre, we stay on this road that leads us to the crossroads and we choose the left side. We stay on the asphalted road and greet the animals on the left, which are happily mowing the grass on the pasture. Still, we stick to the left side, which leads us through Babinci pass the chapel, consecrated to the Mary the Helper. Right after that, we turn right on the road among the fields. Next, we turn right on the crossroads and repeat this step after about 200 metres. After about 100 metres, we turn left towards the road to Cven and continue towards the path, on which we have already been on (across the Klement Garden centre). We continue our road back to where we started from. After we reach the fire station, we turn left and get to the roundabout, where we choose the first exit and reach our final destination.
