Apollonia, an herbalist and a traveler in love will take you on an exciting discovery of the history of Negova Castle in the village of the same name near Gornja Radgona.
You will go far back, to the 11th and 12th centuries, when a wooden mansion was supposed to stand on this site. From this, a castle was developed, which later housed the oldest court in the area, and a shameful pillar or pranger has been preserved. Today, various contents are exhibited in the castle rooms (Fotograd Negova, Memorial Room of Dr. A. Trstenjak, Herbalist Exhibition, Negova through Time, Viticulture and Enology, and others). The castle has a sustainable bicycle rental. The soothing energy of the ambience and the herb garden allow you to relax and get away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Unforgettable experiences are also offered by traditional castle events (Festival of Love with Penina Feist, herbal days, medieval day ...), where thematic cultural collages are joined by regional culinary enrichment.
