Four municipalities in Pomurje awarded the SLOVENIA GREEN label

The Slovenian Green Tourism Scheme is a national programme and certification scheme under the umbrella brand SLOVENIA GREEN:

Slovenia, offers destinations and providers concrete tools to assess and improve their sustainability performance,
and promotes this green performance through the Slovenia Green brand.
In 2022, 58 tourist destinations, 121 accommodation providers, 4 nature parks, 9 travel agencies, 10 tourist attractions, 46 restaurants and 2 beaches are under the Slovenia Green umbrella brand.

To obtain the Slovenia Green Destination label (Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum), destinations must meet the Green Destinations Standard criteria, while to obtain the Slovenia Green Accommodation/Park/Travel Agency/Attraction/Cuisine/Beach label, providers must first obtain one of the internationally recognised sustainability labels verified by the scheme.

Four municipalities in the Pomurje region are among the Slovenia Green Destination label recipients: the municipalities of Moravske Toplice, Ljutomer, Razkrižje and the Municipality of Murska Sobota.
